TXESS Revolution is excited to provide a Summer Institute for Texas teachers!
Come and join us to learn more about Geoscience Field Techniques, EarthLabs Change Over time, and Earth Science By Design! The institute runs for two weeks in June, but if you can only come for one week, we can work to help accommodate you! The specifics are below!

TRC Project Directors: Send your teachers to Earth Science By Design! This exciting portion of the institute is a week before the TRC Annual Meeting! If your teachers attend Earth Science By Design, the accommodations for that week (Dorms at UT) will be covered, as well as a $50 stipend/day (See Financial Considerations below).

TRC educator and TXESS Revolution STAR, Brenda Poloski, will be one of the instructors for Earth Science By Design! Check out Brenda’s profile on the TRC webpage: http://thetrc.org/web/trcnews.html

August 2 - 4, 2010 More Information and application.

Application Deadline: Monday, May 10th at 5PM

UPDATE: There was a small typo regarding the email address to submit your applications. That typo has been fixed, and the application has been updated to reflect this change.

The Water Exploration workshop will provide training on the implementation of the Texas Water Development Board’s new high school online curriculum. Water Exploration uses a project-based learning approach to promote inquiry learning about water science and critical water-related issues. All learning activities and re-sources are packaged into Legacy Cycles modules, an innovative approach that engages students in the use of the Internet and computer technology, as well as laboratory and field-based activities, to conduct their research.

The new national Earth Science Literacy Principles provide the organizing framework for the lessons and activities in each Water Exploration Legacy Cycle.

Participants from across the state are encouraged to apply. The Water Exploration project pays for all travel, lodging and meals.

Please visit the beta version of the Water Exploration Web site.
